KATIE PARRY

Before joining Leff, Katie has been a McKinsey & Co. consultant—where she worked on multiple sustainability projects and reports—and a lecturer in the Communications Dept. of the Harvard Kennedy School. She has also managed a clean water research program for the World Bank and spent two years as the UK’s climate security negotiator at NATO. She works across Leff’s sustainability offering.
PETER GUMBEL

SENIOR ADVISOR | FRANCE

After a long career in business journalism, including 16 years at the Wall Street Journal, Peter moved to the McKinsey Global Institute, where he served as editorial director. At McKinsey, he worked on several of the pioneering publications on sustainability topics, including a 2020 report on climate risk and a 2021 report on the net-zero transition. At Leff, he has continued to support a range of clients with sustainability-related articles and reports.

Scott is the founder of Leff and focuses on campaign strategy, thought leadership, and video production. His work on sustainability includes flagship reports and campaigns for organizations from top global firms to fast-growing startups. In addition, he has helped to shape research reports on ESG topics, including diversity, equity, and inclusion.
ALIA SAMHAT

PARTNER | CHICAGO

Alia leads strategic communications projects for clients, helping them position and package their offerings including sustainability and ESG products, services, and initiatives. She has led the development of ESG and sustainability reports and campaigns, working with clients to define their messages, highlight what’s distinctive, and speak to stakeholders in meaningful ways across formats.
CLAIRISSA MYATT

SUSTAINABILITY MANAGER | CHICAGO

Clairissa Myatt joined Leff in 2022 as a project manager after being a client of Leff Communications while working at Aon. At Leff, she has continued to support a range of clients on sustainability content such as articles, reports, and campaigns. More recently, Clair has transitioned her role to the Sustainability Manager, working alongside Katie Parry.

David has a decade of editorial experience in thought leadership. At Leff, he has built subject matter expertise in decarbonization technologies, industrial and chemical processes, and energy systems. David has written extensively on global energy flows, the transition to renewable energy sources, and sustainable agriculture. Prior to joining Leff, he held editorial roles at McKinsey & Company and in commercial publishing in New York City.
ANNIE MULLOWNEY

Annie is a writer and editor with eight years of experience developing thought leadership blogs, articles, and reports. She has spent much of this time cultivating an expertise in public sector and sustainability topics—including their intersection—and leading the editorial work for clients in these areas. This work has spanned themes from the role of new technologies on the path to net zero to how sectors and regions can achieve emissions-reduction targets and prepare for the energy transition while stimulating economic growth.
